There were occasional tittle-tattle about ‘Chenab Gandhi’ which boasts of a striking cast - Big B, Vidya Balan and Rajeev Khandelwal. The film is directed by Vibhu Puri, a one-time assistant of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had been part of Bhansali’s several films.
The film which had been till now under the production hand of Bhansali, sadly sees a turn of events of late. According to latest buzz, the film won’t be produced by SLB and the director is said to be looking out for takers.
Puri confirmed the speculations by saying that Bhansali has distanced himself from the film and he will no longer be producing it. But the director dismisses any doubts of dumping the film. He said, “It doesn't mean that the project is shelved. In fact I'm planning to speak to other producers about this project and hopefully will get a breakthrough soon.”
We really hope the director finds an equally good producer like Bhansali…
