The success of Krrish is all set to bring out a sequel for the film. This was disclosed by the Roshans who had produced the film. Krrish had Hrithik Roshan play the lead and was produced by Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft.
According to sources close to the Roshan family, papa Roshan is keen on signing up Deepika Padukone to star opposite his son. However, nothing has been finalized as yet. It is also said that several foreign technicians will be roped in to work in the sequel. The ball of this new venture will set rolling once Kites hits the marquee.
The director of the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle landed in Mumbai a couple of days ago. He also hosted a party for some of the select crew of Slumdog Millionaire including the kids that starred in the film.
However, Bollywood is abuzz with news that his purpose of visit was to meet Aamir Khan to discuss a new venture. In fact, Boyle had openly stated a few months ago that he wished to sign up Aamir for a project. Rumors are also afloat that Aamir was offered a script for consideration. An official word is expected soon.
The 9/11 attack ensured that Britain imposed some very strict rules - one among them being the Central London declared as the No-Fly zone. However, Bollywood director Vipul Shah has obtained permission to fly over the Central London after undergoing a lot of trouble. Apparently, Vipul wanted to shoot a sequence which required Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan to fly over the Central London for London Dreams. Though this shot is likely to appear just 20 seconds in the film London Dreams, it was considered as an important one.
Vipul finally managed to get the permission after requesting the Film Council, the Mayor of London and the Home Ministry to allow them to shoot.

It has been reported in Femalefirst, that Aamir Khan and Oscar winner Kate Winslet will work together in a film based on the Indo-Pak partition. Apparently, the film is based on the novel Toba Tek Singh, penned by Saadat Hasan Manto.
Aamir Khan is expected to play the role of a mentally disturbed person in a mental asylum. The story is about how the partition affects him. Kate Winslet could play the role of Dr. Sophie, if she agrees to work in the project. Pan Nalin will direct this yet-to-be named venture.

Perhaps Akshay Kumar should be called the most bankable star! The Indian Bank and Exim Bank are jointly co-financing a Bollywood project that has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead. While Exim Bank has sanctioned Rs. 25 crores, the Indian Bank has allotted Rs. 10 crores for the project. The film is to be made on a budget of Rs. 70 crores, it is reported. The rate of interest is somewhere between 12.5 and 13 per cent. The collateral for this loan happens to be the negative of the film.
The film is produced by Venus Records and Priyadarshan wields the megaphone for it. Financing films is not new to these banks though. While the IOB has financed the Rajini starrer Sivaji, Exim Bank had financed a couple of Bollywood ventures.

It’s being said that Hrithik got permission from his father Rakesh Roshan to kiss Barbara.

Action Replay is the movie of Vipul Shah and as the title suggests the movie must have fight sequences… but no, it’s a love story.
The movie is said to be the remake of Curious case of Benjamin Button. Akshay would play the role which was played by Hollywood actor Brad Pitt.

The Secret History of the Dalai Lamas, which is to be directed by the French director Jan Kounen, could have Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The director is currently at the Cannes Film Festival where his film will be showcased. According to the film’s producer Manuel de la Roche, The Secret History of the Dalai Lamas will trace the history of the Dalai Lamas from the fourteenth century.
In an interview to the IANS, Roche had said: “We are very keen to cast the father and son duo in key roles in the film. Sharon Stone, who is a practicing Tibetan Buddhist, will step in as the narrator, while Hollywood star Richard Gere will also be involved with the project.” The film will be shot in several Indian locations including Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

The other film is by ace director Mani Rathnam. This film is a multi lingual project and is being simultaneously shot in Hindi with Aish and hubby doing the lead roles. The Tamil remake of the film sees Chiyan Vikram and Aish in the lead roles. This flick’s title seems to have been inspired from the epic Ramayana and has hence been titled ‘Raavan’.
