The home production of top actor Amitabh Bachchan in the banner of ABCL ‘Paa’ Hindi film has got the Karnataka government sop of 50 percent entertainment tax exemption with effect from January 15 on a special case. Amitabh Bachchan came down to Bangalore to thank the Karnataka Chief Minister Dr BS Yediyurappa on last Saturday evening. A special screening for the chief minister BSY and cabinet colleagues was arranged at the PVR cinema in the evening. Amitabh Bachchan sat with the Chief Minister of Karnataka BSY, ministers S Sureshkumar, VS Acharya, Ramachandre Gowda, Member of Parliament DB Chandre Gowda and other special invitees and watched the film ‘Paa’. The film ‘Paa’ made on the disease ‘Progeria’ has been appreciated by Karnataka Chief Minister as a very good attempt. Amir Khan’s ‘Taare Zamin Par’ got the similar tax rebate of 50 percent from Karnataka government.
